6th grade Art--This course provides a wide variety of ways to create art, both traditionally and experimentally. Students are involved in the hands-on techniques of drawing, painting, mixed media, origami, comic strips, computer art, and design, as well as ceramics. Students learn to express thoughts and ideas creatively, challenge the imagination, develop concentration and self-expression. Students will explore art appreciation, art history, careers in art, and cultural artworks through group projects and discussions. This course develops the lifelong skills of making informed judgments and evaluations on works of art.

This trip is in no way related to Eanes Independent School District. It is with the touring company, Explorica.
